CALGARY, Alberta - Hockey Canada has announced that Kristi Miller (Vancouver, BC) has been appointed interim chair of the Hockey Canada Board of Directors and will serve in the role until the 2026 Hockey Canada Annual Meeting on Dec. 5 in Toronto.

Miller was elected to the board in 2023 and re-elected as a director to a three-year term last November.

“Hockey in Canada is experiencing tremendous momentum and our board is excited to continue our work to grow the game across the country,” said Miller. “We are appreciative of the support of our Members and the tremendous volunteers who are involved with our National Winter Sport, and we look forward to strengthening the game in partnership with them.”

Miller is an entrepreneur, investor, corporate director and president of RTB Enterprises Inc., advising founders and boards on growth, capital strategy and governance. She previously founded and led First West Capital, which provided more than $250 million in financing to Canadian businesses.

An EY Entrepreneur of the Year® 2019 Pacific Region winner, she later served on EY’s regional and national judging panels. Miller also serves on the advisory boards of Merit Kitchens and Hettas, and previously chaired Hockey Canada’s audit and finance committee.
