FINAL | Canada falls 5-2 to Czechia.

Shane Wright named Player of the Game for Canada.

Goaltender Tomas Suchanek named Player of the Game for Czechia.

3rd - 1:09 | Czechia with another power play after Canada's Brandt Clarke is called for tripping. 

3rd - 6:17 | Nathan Gaucher called for slashing. Czechia gets another power play.

3rd - 9:36 | Thomas Milic makes two big saves to keep the score at 5-2.

Canada is outshooting Czechia 33-22 but continues to trail midway through the 3rd period.

3rd - 11:33 | As chants of 'Let's Go Canada' fill the arena, Adam Fantilli is called for tripping and Czechia gets a power play.

3rd - 17:38 | Canada heads to the power play after Czechia's Martin Rysavy is called for tripping.

3rd - 18:20 | Canada opens the third period with a couple of chances but can't find the back of the net. 

The 3rd period is just getting underway here in Halifax. 

AFTER 2 | The period comes to a close. Canada had a handful of chances late in the period but couldn't find a way past Tomas Suchanek.

Score remains 5-2 Czechia. 

Shots are 23-18 in favour of Canada.

2nd - 7:11 | Nathan Gaucher is called for tripping in the Czechia end. 

Replay appears to show otherwise and the crowd lets the refs hear it. 

2nd - 8:43 | Tomas Hamara is called for roughing and Canada heads to the power play.

2nd - 11:13 | GOAL! Czechia gets another power play goal after Matous Mencik snaps a quick one up high to beat Benjamin Gaudreau. 

Gaudreau is taken out of the game and replaced by Thomas Milic.

CAN 2 - CZE 5

2nd - 11:44 | GOAL! Jaroslav Chmelar scores on the power play to extend the Czech lead.

CAN 2 - CZE 4

2nd - 15:39 | Czechia will get a 5-minute power play after Zach Dean is called for an illegal hit to the head following a big hit in the Czechia end.

The penalty will be served by Adam Fantilli.

Crowd doesn't like the call and lets the refs hear it. 

2nd - 18:31 | GOAL!! Conor Bedard scores to bring Canada back within 1 and the crowd here is no longer silenced.

2nd - 19:16 | GOAL! Another quick goal by Czechia silences the crowd.

The 2nd period is underway here in Halifax.

AFTER 1 | Despite having their fair share of chances, Canada trails Czechia 2-1. 

Shots, however, are 12-6 in favour of Canada. 

1st  - 1:37 | GOAL!! David Jiricek fires a wrister from the blueline that beats Benjamin Gaudreau and just like that Czechia has taken the lead.

1st - 2:12 | GOAL! Czechia's David Spacek takes a cross-ice pass and scores to tie the game.

1st - 5:06 | Brandt Clarke appears to slap home a beauty to give Canada a 2-0 lead but the goal is called back after review.

Canada was found to be offside when the goal was scored.

1st - 9:27 | GOAL!! Captain Shane Wright deflects a shot from the point by Olen Zellweger to give Canada the lead.

CAN 1 - CZE 0

1st - 9:47 | Czechia appears to score but the goal is immediately waved off by the refs. 

Czechia's Gabriel Szturc is called for goaltender interference and Canada will head to the power play for the first time tonight.

1st - 14:28 | Zach Dean is called for slashing and Czechia heads to the power play. 

1st - 15:01 | Adam Fantilli with a ridiculous lacrosse-style behind-the-net wrap-around attempt that doesn't get by the Czechia goalie. 

1st - 17:25 | A couple of good chances by both teams early on here but the score remains 0-0.

Annd the wait is finally over!! We're officially underway here in Halifax, where the capacity crowd is loud and proud.
